As you arrive after a long journey and drive slowly down to the Lodges you will soon appreciate the peace and tranquility that awaits you. As you step through the door of your accommodation we hope that you will soon begin to unwind, relax and start to enjoy your quality time together.
You will be surrounded by old Devon hedgerows, which in Summertime are a profusion of Honeysuckle, Wild Field Rose and Elderflowers. Later, in September and October, they give way to Blackberries and Sloes.
There are 23 acres of grounds to explore, with nature trails taking you around the lakes and wildlife pond.
There are seating areas, in quiet corners, in which to just sit, watch and wonder.
On a warm sunny day you can watch Dragonflies and Damselflies and, if you are lucky enough, you may spot one of our resident Kingfishers!
Indeed, for keen birdwatchers, there is always plenty of activity!
Suitable footwear is always recommended for your own safety around the nature walks. |
